Golden Week is separated to 2 parts this year- wait... I might have mentioned this in my previous post? In any case. It's part 2 of my long weekends. The calm before the storm.

I was feeling really restless yesterday - as was my friend, Nazuna. We were trying to figure out something to do since we finally had time to do something... and we came up with zilch. These holidays don't come very often and yet we weren't able to make the most of it. In the end we pulled Ikumi with us and we went out for pizza - at this small place near my apartment. It had a really nice atmosphere so we stayed there for quite a bit... talking about this and that. I can't really remember much of what we talked about. I guess it wasn't really important.

We went back home around 9pm... and I went straight to sleep. It was so weird that I was really tired but I think it was lucky that I fell asleep - I hadn't had that good a sleep, and a solid 10 hours too, in so long. I woke up at 7 this morning wondering when I turned off the light in my room. I guess I must've really needed that recharge.

I had to go down for an eye-check around 10am and went to buy contacts too. I also had to pick up some papers from the Ward Office - which I didn't because I was so confused by the Japanese signs, so I decided to postpone it to later in the afternoon. Around 12.30 I went up to Uni because there was a meeting for the Gou-zemi (Kansai Joint Seminar - where several Unis come and do presentations and stuff), where I came in late - but nobody minded (I hope). It was a really slow day.

I had to pick up some papers from another professor's office for my next seminar on the 13th - we're doing something on Russian Photography/Filmography next. (I sometimes wonder just what I'm really studying - I'm doing everything from Music to Preventive Diplomacy. .. ... my next presentations will be on 1/Democratic Peace and 2/Jane Austen ... hahahahah)

Later in the afternoon I went back down to the Ward Office to finally pick up those papers - and then met up Nazuna to go to Furumachi (southern Osaka) to eat monjayaki - they owners even paid for us! (Well, it was because Nazuna's family are close friends with the owners.) And... well, here I am. We stayed there until 9pm and arrived back around quarter to 11pm ... it was a pretty long train ride, but hey, free dinner hehehe... and it was reeeaaaalllly delicious too!


I'm going to stay over Nazuna's place again in Tsuruga (Fukui) for a night or two from Monday (since it's still holidays). She says that it's still cold in Tsuruga... and I'm a little freaked (because I'm actually going to take her word for it now - it was really cold last time I went - and it was only late Summer).

In any case. I've started listening to the Arctic Monkeys and Allister! I'm really kinda hooked to Arctic Monkey's Fluorescent Adolescent and Allister's Somewhere On Fullerton right now. I definitely recommend those two songs to anyone who likes alternative rock and um... rock? I'm not sure.

Tomorrow I'll be in Kyoto watching Yabusame once again! That's a competition where you shoot arrows while riding full speed on a horse hehehe... it doesn't last very long but it's wicked exciting!! I can't wait!
