Last Day in OUFS

It's kind of cool that I finally get a hold of the Internet on the very last day that I can, and am staying at Osaka University of Foreign Studies. Not only that today I'm posting my graduation pictures!!


Me and Anni, who has already left for Tokyo a few days ago. She'll from now on study in Tokyo University, majoring in Politics.

Feeling sleepy this slow afternoon

It was an early day today. I woke up around 8 I guess. Man that's hard to do nowadays when all you want to do is just sleep every morning till it's through. At one point it was almost as if I'd turned nocturnal and it was heaven until recently ^_^;

So it's all over. Everybody's preparing to move out these days. Even the parties seem to have stopped. Oddly enough. In any case I've finalised the contract for the new apartment I'll be moving into next week with a friend of mine, Aurelie. I've got my new address and everything but it's not with me right now so I'll post it up later on. Silly me and I've forgotten to bring the pictures in today. If I can come back to this computer again later on I will, but I guess for the moment, no pictures available. Nya~~

UWAH!

Fantastic trip! Fabulous graduation party! I want to put up all the pictures but I'm in a rush, there's a party down by Onohara at ShiDax or some place like that which has karaoke. This whole thing has been one huge blur. I hope you guys are feeling great today 'cos the weather out right now sure is fantastic!

In a way, it will be a long weekend

So, it's Friday. It's been a slow day so far. But then again I did kind of only crawl into bed around 6am this morning. And I did wake up about 10 mins past 12 -_-; There's a big field trip on Monday stretching over Tuesday so I won't be around then.

We'll be going back to Aichi where the World Expo was last year, only this time we'll be visiting a branch company of Toyota's on Monday, staying over at a Japanese hotel for the night and then to Meiji Village on Tuesday. It's the last trip for all of us here and I feel a kind of dread, just thinking of the day to come since after the trip, and I mean, right the next day is Graduation (Wednesday).

Then we'll all be of to so many different parts of Japan. I mean, I might never see some of these people again. It's really rather disturbing to think of it -_-;

Which is why we're going to try and make the best of it. One short program intended for the night at the ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) is group performances. Apparently it can be anything. Unfortunately for the lack of enthusiastic participants from my class (=.=) It's going to be just Lilia singing, a song called Sakura, and me trying to dance a traditional malay dance to it in the background.

Ahaha- this is the first time I'll ever be choreographing myself for a traditional dance. I still remember the filipino dance from back in Sinaran Pelangi, the one with the candles (^v^) that was fun hehe-. And the dance when I was in Sunshine School (I forgot which one that was but I was 8 or 9 then), with the pretty shocking blue female-version of the cara melayu suit and long white cloth. And then there was one more for graduation from Sunshine School which I really don't remember well. Hahahah, all that and my clumsiness, I wonder what I'll manage to put together.

This is going to be fun.

I wanted to post up something with the post earlier, but I'd forgotten what it was. Now that I've remembered, here was the conversation Aurelie and I had earlier when I'd just gone back to the dormitory a minute for lunch: (It's not word by word exactly, but the gist is there).

A: So how was your speech exam?

N: (flailing arms happily) It's over!
You know what? Yamakawa-sensei invigilated for our class today.

A: Oh, those earrings are nice.

N: Yeah, for both periods.

A: ...

N: ... Uhh

...

A: ... Yea, your earrings were nice for both periods.

N: ... Hmm. Well, I'm glad they were too haha

Note to Naj. Always listen to what people have to say completely and let it register in your head before responding.

PS. My earrings are nice. Thanks again to Aira for chosing them for me! ^_^ They're the heart-shaped dangly ones I had on for prom ^_^

Raining outside...

My dear dear blog. What would I be without you. Friendless, and disconnected from people back home. Not to mention starved from being unable to feed that writer's itch.

I am reminded again, this morning, just how fast this year has gone. Something my teacher mentioned in class right after the Speech exam today- We can all speak so fluently in Japanese now when compared to how we were before... The Us before, of April 2005, seems almost like a lie. Just how did we, the class of UE6, who basically come from having minimal to no knowledge of Japanese come to be able to stand up in front of people, talk about our designated research topic for a given limited time, not only that, be able to discuss it, real-time with other students, in Japanese. Other students who can and would shoot questions and open up holes in your research which can throw you off while trying to continue presenting... but no, we went on. Standing up 20 minutes each in front of the class and two teachers. Yeek. Had I known this would happen... I still wouldn't have believed it.

In anycase, I feel a little bit more free now. My last two papers are on Friday and besides History in the afternoon, the rest I know, is going to be a breeze. And then, after that? I've already plans for Friday night! Woohoo! Dinner down by a friend's house down town (his mom's throwing it, for I don't know what reason, but hey!). Monday the 6th next week, I'll be off down town for a party! My JCB teacher, Watanabe-sensei is hosting it for our class (UE5 and UE6 combination) and it looks like it might be by that classy hotel by the station... coolies. ^_^ Then on Thursday or Friday I'll be prancing down to Hiroshima with Anni and Aurelie for a quick sight-seeing trip. Sunday that same week, there's a concert! Monday and Tuesday the week after next is the Big Trip to Aichi (again)! Wednesday the 15th is going to be Graduation!

I'm not going to have the mindset to finish studying for those tests, am I? ... f(-_-;) Oh dear...
