I caught this horrible fever about two weeks ago... I was basically dying the entire night from it... I missed the last half of the day's classes, plus the next day's as well... I was walking on fire...
Then last week I had this horrible pain in my left ear. In fact, some mild discomfort and lack of hearing the night before, then the afternoon the next day... BANG! I lost about 90% hearing of my left ear... WHAT A SHOCK!
My left ear is okay now though, but I still have times when I lose maybe 10-30% of my hearing (from either one or both my ears)... I don't know... it's like there's some weird bubble inside my ear that just won't go away. I have it now still... particularly in my right ear... I'm pretty sure that it'll disappear at one point but...
Anyway I went to see a specialist and had these weird tests on me haha~ they put me in a box and made me do a sound check test of some sort to see how much I can hear with either ear, and then stuck this weird suction this in my ears one at a time to check something (by the way, this felt awful and disgusting.... I still shiver in memory). It turns out that there is something wrong (the balance was offset or something like that), but nothing irrepairable. The reason why I'm losing my hearing sometimes: my nose. Hahahahah...
My nose gets blocked and it bothers the level of oxygen/air going to my ear and so creates some pressure which in turns blocks my ear, and I guess creates that bubble, and thus the lack of hearing.
So, basically the specialist/doctor said that it was nothing permanent or it didn't look dangerous but basically I still have to take some pills and do this on-the-spot treatment.... which included him sticking this long metal thing in my nostril to spray something and then poking in something even longer in, which I swear reached my cavity... sinus... or even further in my organs... it was so.... kimochi waruiiiii..... disgusting.... It felt so.... eughhhhh.... but I guess it kind of helped... my nose is still fine with minimum help of my other nose medicine.
Thus was my day today. My first time at an ear/nose specialist. I never ever ever want to go there again. The sound tests were k ind of fun, and my hearing, even though not at the peak stage, is above normal... my right ear seems to be more sensitive to more high pitched sounds... Anyway... everything else that happened to me there was.... like going to the dentist to get your teeth pulled. Though not as painful, it does feel as...... *shivers*
Not through violence, but through the word alone

Shleeepy...
I just realised that today is November the 21st. Which means, I am less than a month away from my flight to the Philippines. Wow... time sure flies past. I mean to go within the next two weeks to figure out the ticket prices to get back to Brunei in March next year. The year 2007... which is just a little over a month away. It's just... weird.
Maybe it's because I'm in the middle of my Semester? Had I been in Brunei I'd surely be feeling the year's end, considering school ends at about this time of the year. But here... It's just plain strange. I remember feeling the same way this time last year too. We were just... studying like normal and... well. It's just strange.
Anyway, what's up with me and Uni nowadays...? I've been busy. Well, I guess that's just not news to anyone anymore. Nobody I know is not busy. No matter how much homework I do... it just doesn't seem to end. A school week does not end of Friday. I have homework on Saturday and the continuation of the homework on Sunday and then I review classes on Monday and then while my homework pile is not yet down to 0, I receive a little bit more on Tuesday, then I reduced the amount of homework again but receive a new pile on Wednesday... I relax on Thursday and receive more reading assignments on Friday, and then I'm back to Saturday again. Notice that I didn't begin this tirade on a Monday because, effectively, my week begins on Saturday! What a life.
It could have been worse, as I keep telling myself.
I received a call from the Faculty office a few days ago about some error in the subject registrations. They said that this year I had accumulated 51 credits worth of registered subjects while I was only supposed to have 49. Wow... Anyway I knew where the problem was and told them and when they recalculated, the numbers went to 49 again and... But I think it's still great! I maxed out~ Cool (^__^)
At least now I feel like I'm living up to the scholarship. I'd been thinking about it for so long and it had been nagging me sometimes... I mean sure I won a scholarship, but that just means that I'm living off the tax paid by the population of Japan. It feels wrong... somehow. But I'm studying. At least I feel like I'm studying. So the guilt subsides from time to time.
Anyway, what am I saying. It's freezing now and I should be sleeping so~ here was your weekly update! I try not to not blog for more than 7 days. I don't want people to worry (^__^) Later~

I'm so vainnn
Loooook I just took pictures of meeee---
The last was me through the webcam. I'm so vain. No really. Who would take these many pictures of themselves otherwise? Hahaha (I just got a new shampoo that I really like hahahah... and finally had an oppotunity to dish out all my makeup (there was a party at Uni tonight, some yearly festival of some sort, ... me and Liliana left early though.... my head started pounding because of the music hahahaha....

DeathNote: The Last Name
So I went to the cinema. I was really confused at one point really. I've been reading the DeathNote manga and watching the anime, and I didn't want to be disappointed with the movie so I couldn't really decide if I was really watching it or not until the last moment (I mean seriously, I was staring at the receptionist when I finally decided).
But I liked the movie. Yeah I really did.
Even though now I've just realised that what I watched is actually the sequel of the movie that came out in June this year. What I watched was the sequel (well, more than a 'sequel' it was a continuation or second half or ending really). Death Note and Death Note: The Last Name. Oh well I'll just watch the first movie once it comes out on DVD - I know the basic plot anyway. It was a very interesting mix of digital and reality... I mean I wouldn't call the animation of the Gods of Death first class, but it was really really good. It was still distinctly game-like and... a bit more highly-defined version of Kingdom Hearts style of characters, but it was no Advent Children.
But I really like it. I think I can sleep easy now really that I got the ending I wanted. I watched Friends (3rd Season) at my friend, Liliana's place until late and just got back around now. I feel so relaxed and destressed now. I should watch more Friends. I really should. Hee.
