Not through violence, but through the word alone

GW:2

Golden Week is separated to 2 parts this year- wait... I might have mentioned this in my previous post? In any case. It's part 2 of my long weekends. The calm before the storm.

I was feeling really restless yesterday - as was my friend, Nazuna. We were trying to figure out something to do since we finally had time to do something... and we came up with zilch. These holidays don't come very often and yet we weren't able to make the most of it. In the end we pulled Ikumi with us and we went out for pizza - at this small place near my apartment. It had a really nice atmosphere so we stayed there for quite a bit... talking about this and that. I can't really remember much of what we talked about. I guess it wasn't really important.

We went back home around 9pm... and I went straight to sleep. It was so weird that I was really tired but I think it was lucky that I fell asleep - I hadn't had that good a sleep, and a solid 10 hours too, in so long. I woke up at 7 this morning wondering when I turned off the light in my room. I guess I must've really needed that recharge.

I had to go down for an eye-check around 10am and went to buy contacts too. I also had to pick up some papers from the Ward Office - which I didn't because I was so confused by the Japanese signs, so I decided to postpone it to later in the afternoon. Around 12.30 I went up to Uni because there was a meeting for the Gou-zemi (Kansai Joint Seminar - where several Unis come and do presentations and stuff), where I came in late - but nobody minded (I hope). It was a really slow day.

I had to pick up some papers from another professor's office for my next seminar on the 13th - we're doing something on Russian Photography/Filmography next. (I sometimes wonder just what I'm really studying - I'm doing everything from Music to Preventive Diplomacy. .. ... my next presentations will be on 1/Democratic Peace and 2/Jane Austen ... hahahahah)

Later in the afternoon I went back down to the Ward Office to finally pick up those papers - and then met up Nazuna to go to Furumachi (southern Osaka) to eat monjayaki - they owners even paid for us! (Well, it was because Nazuna's family are close friends with the owners.) And... well, here I am. We stayed there until 9pm and arrived back around quarter to 11pm ... it was a pretty long train ride, but hey, free dinner hehehe... and it was reeeaaaalllly delicious too!

I'm going to stay over Nazuna's place again in Tsuruga (Fukui) for a night or two from Monday (since it's still holidays). She says that it's still cold in Tsuruga... and I'm a little freaked (because I'm actually going to take her word for it now - it was really cold last time I went - and it was only late Summer).

In any case. I've started listening to the Arctic Monkeys and Allister! I'm really kinda hooked to Arctic Monkey's Fluorescent Adolescent and Allister's Somewhere On Fullerton right now. I definitely recommend those two songs to anyone who likes alternative rock and um... rock? I'm not sure.

Tomorrow I'll be in Kyoto watching Yabusame once again! That's a competition where you shoot arrows while riding full speed on a horse hehehe... it doesn't last very long but it's wicked exciting!! I can't wait!

I never mentioned that I hadn't been feeling well for over a week - or maybe I had? I would have these weird fevers that only come out at night. I think it might be because it gets colder at night, and very suddenly - so I couldn't really handle it well. In any case, last night topped it all off - was so warm I felt like I could burn anything I touched. I slept 10 hours... which is a lot to me right now - since I haven't really had much decent sleep lately. And I slept really well, too. I felt so refreshed, and relieved, when I woke up this morning without a fever, finally. But I've still got the sniffles. Geh.

Have I ever mentioned that my normal body temperature first thing in the morning is 35.7 degrees Celsius? Pretty low, isn't it. LoL -

I also never mentioned before that - I have 4-day weekends 2 weeks in a row, starting this week! Hehe. It's Golden Week, and if not for 2 days of classes I wouldn't have to go to Uni for over a week! ... As it is, I still do have 2 days of classes (this week's Wednesday and Thursday) and then another 4-day weekend. A nice break - and then downhill again will I start to roll. Haha.

There's a birthday dinner for one of my friends tonight and I'm planning to go - I still don't know what time they'll be starting though. Hmm. ... ... Well. It's not even 5 yet and I'm ready to go any time so I don't really need to be in any hurry.

Hope some of you are catching the 2nd season of xxxHoLic (called xxxHoLic Kei)! I really really like this series hee.

The Devil really did come on horse back... er... camel-back?

Anyway, I had a nightmare last night. I slept pretty late - and thought I had completely knocked myself out from work - until I woke up this morning. The nightmare felt so real... in an odd way.

I watched that documentary on Darfur last night... and thought to lighten the mood up by watching some D.Gray Man. It didn't work, unfortunately. But I turned off the computer anyway - since I was really tired, and slept.

I was enjoying the warmth of my comfy futon when - the next thing I knew, I was running through the desert, barefoot. It didn't feel hot and I wasn't tired, even though I felt as if I had been running for hours. There was this horrible noise behind me and even though I couldn't bring myself to look around - I knew someone was there, chasing me. That's when it came. Two shots to my right shoulder and I fell down. Though, there was no ground - everything was black, and my shoulder was hurting (really hurting!).

The next second I was in the International Court of Justice - how did I know? There was this huge-ass sign behind some judges saying "International Court of Justice". LoL. I was giving testimony and... well everything here was a fuzz and the next thing I realised, the Court granted Not Guilty to the guy I knew who shot me. ...And that's when I shifted off my right shoulder.

My shoulder stopped hurting. I woke up and realised that all that was because I had probably slept on my right for too long. LoL.

Funny how things in real life can incorporate your dreams.

I DLd The War on Democracy - a documentary on the US. I wonder what kind of dreams/nightmares I'll be having next.
