Januaryyyyy is overrrrr (almost)

I can't believe that 2010 has begun and the first month, January, is just about over!!

I came to Japan almost exactly 5 years ago, and since then, life has been a very loooooong ride. What is most unbelievable is the fact that I was 17 years old when I left Brunei and I'll be coming back as a 22-year-old! (Okay, I'll be turning 23 soon enough.) OMG. Twenty-THREE. It was weird enough, hitting the two-decade marker. And now I'm 3 years in the game. Haha. I'm living in the third decade of my life. If I live to be a hundred, I'm 23% done with my life. LoL. Okay, 22.7-ish% done. Actually that kind of puts things to a whole new perspective. What exactly have I been doing 22.7% of my life?? ... ... ...

I know I'll be leaving Japan soon, which is partially why I've been going on these cafe trips with friends. You'd be surprised (or not) at how many good places there are to have 'tea' just in Kobe!!

(See picture of macaron above)

I'm going to miss cafe-ing and just hanging out with friends. I'm sure it's the same anywhere in the world. I vaguely recall even lepak-ing with friends the same way in Brunei :p ... but that was so long ago! But I hope to continue this as a hobby perhaps. LoL - going around trying different foods and cakes everywhere.

.... I really want to go to Europe to do a tea&cakes tour hahaha. Naj's Grand Tour in Europe. How about it? Any takers?

It's freeeeeezing (><)

I went out to work yesterday (I'm still working at the English school in Nishinomiya), and it was absolutely freezing on the way back home (><). Not to mention the fact that I missed my train stop by two stations because I was totally engrossed in 'repairing' my thesis. Which is going to be done soon (^^)

I hope.

I should really update more but as it is I'm going to return to my paper now and then leave updating for next week~~

I believe it's that time of the year again to reflect on all the things that you have done. To make next year, a better year, to make yourself better etc etc etc. LoL.

Sakai-zemi's first Alumni dinner

My professor has been teaching at the University for some time now and about 30 of us (his seminar students) decided to go out and have dinner together. He was so happy to be around with his old students - I can only wish one day that I can come back and join the 2nd, 3rd or even the 10th Alumni dinner in the future!!
