So it's been almost a week since my birthday-- the weather was so humid last week, it literally damped my mood as well, not to mention I've been having this bout of extreme laziness (heheheh- I bet those who know me well are rolling their eyes right now) And now the weather has turned perfect again, I feel like studying like mad (insane, yeah?)
In anycase, it's a welcome change of mood- if I don't get started on my reports now I'll never be able to finish them- and I'll never be able to have enough time to study for the exam... ^_^; Tough luck for me? Hahah- I like what I'm studying right now... so at least I'll have fun being axed right? XP
Not through violence, but through the word alone

Here's a puzzle for You!
Look what my Cultural Anthropology teacher today showed us in class!
Tetei hem i hot tu mas.
Mi wandem go long solwara blong swim.
And on a different note:
Mi kaikai em ta sol.
Now... how many of you out there can understand what I'd just put up, I wonder? Here's a hint: It's Pidgin ^_^ I believe the teacher said tha this kind of language is spoken in Papua New Guinea.
Try saying it out loud and think that it's English... ?? Although frankly I wouldn't know how to do that myself, but anyway...
The first two lines mean:
Today it is hot too much.
Me want go long saltwater(sea) swim. *I have no clue what 'blong' would refer to.
And the third line is:
Me eat it only. *kaikai is not from English. *ta sol, means, that's all --> only.
Pidgin!

My report for History of Science
I must have mentioned before that I am now taking a class called History of Science. In order to get the credits for this class one must submit a report. The teacher gave us a choice between two topics. I was about to choose the one called "Europe and Science"- well actually, I did choose it, I even put down some notes on it too...
Then I went up to ask the teacher if the way to write a report was the same way one writes a dissertation. Not only did he say yes, he said that he was going to let me write on another topic! It's called "Islam and Science"... it does sound more interesting, no? It struck a funny chord in me because I was well prepared to write on the previous topic but he gave me another one instead - not that I'm complaining (^_^) Apparently he'll let anyone write the report in English or French too...
Way cool!

Post- Golden Week
Last Weekend was the best ^_^ I spent most of my time in Osaka, starting by eating out with the Osaka UFS newbies, and also Yuki with Hee Jeung who'd come down from Tokyo. I didn't realise how much I missed Kura Sushi until I stepped in there again with a large group of people.
I spent most of my time with Adeline, Yun Jung and Ruo Lin though. Adeline is from Brunei, she studied Literature in MD too and I'd like to think that we click pretty well. Yun Jung is from Korea- very sweet girly-girl who probably likes dressing up as much as Adeline. They make the perfect puri-kura pair, I think. Ruo Lin, at first, looks very serious, but she's really cool to be with and knows how to have fun. Oh, she's from Malaysia ^_^
I don't particularly want to go into so much detail but Golden Week was so fun... I feel ready to sit down and start seriously studying no...
Probably about time, too. My language classes are starting to move more quickly and homework is starting to weigh something.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. It didn't really hit until last night, but people! I am in a 4-year Undergraduate course and I'm o nly in my 2nd month i.e 1st year freshmen i.e I'm due to graduate in 2010... o_O I'm going to be 22 (turning 23) when I graduate! I'm still going to be license-less... while the rest of the friends whom I'd grown up with will probably already be working full-time... oh my goodness!

Golden Week agaaain
Happy Happy Happy! There's a five-day holiday starting tomorrow! I feel like jumping on the train to Osaka again right away!
So what has happened since my last post? I got through half-way the assignment and I just leeched off the rest of the information from my classmate in class! They're such sweethearts! I don't know what I'd do without them. ^_^ That was one huge load off my shoulders, the teacher even slows down her talking speed when she comes and talks to me (助かったよ!) So that was a happy ending ^_^
But of course, not all my classes are this nice -_-; I have a lecture about State & Law and I have no clue what the teacher is saying almost all of the time. Grr... Ah, I just have to live with it under Summer Hols anyway... then I am SO not taking that class again -_-;;
THEN last weekend I gave myself a treat by jumping on that train back to Osaka! I spent the weekend with Adeline (Brunei), Yun Jung (Korea) and Rou Lin (Malaysia), they're doing the course I was doing last year now. Oh, we had so much fun, I was basically so exhausted I could barely move when I came back to Kobe. We went to Namba, walked all the way back to Shinsaibashi, stopping at an all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes, pasta & cakes... (yes, I know, not the healthiest thing BUT!) There was a party that night, Yuri, a Research student from Ukraine, had his birthday party... Yeah, then we went to Umeda the next day and just took it easy, visiting Kinokuniya and Yodobashi camera...
And I guess today or tomorrow I'm going back there (to Osaka) again! Ah, I love Golden Week.
