Yes people, 5 weeks to go! It won't be long left... even the date for the Majlis Doa Selamat has been confirmed- March 20th (all friends welcomed). However, even after all the things that's been done, for my own preparation for Japan, there is one IMPORTANT issue that remains... I don't know when exactly I'll be leaving yet!!
I believe that the Embassy of Japan was supposed to give me a call once they've received confirmation or have already booked for my flight... but even now there's no word of it! The guy from the Ministry of Education - C503, claims that usually the selected students would be sent on April 1st... but then again there's that oral Malay test that I still have to take (though I still don't know when that'll happen) and then there's that thing my friend from the Embassy said- something about the MoE having to give their 'Ok' in order for me to go? (screams) Honestly! I really don't get it!
Well, anyway, besides all that, I've suddenly had a thing for watching NHK nowadays... and I think it really helped me refresh my memory of the Japanese terms I'd learnt in 2003... back when I took night classes at UBD. At first I really didn't get what all those anchors, actors, presenters etc. were saying, and then I woke up one afternoon - after having accidentally slept in front of the tv - hearing an excessively annoying monotonous drone of people saying "tamago"... "tamago"... "tamago"... when it hit me. 'Egg'. Tamago means 'egg'! -yes, you may roll your eyes at me, but I was really happy when I could get the translation of it. Hehe-
Then it was all uphill after that. I watched this tv drama and I could figure out that they were talking about marriage/divorce! And then a junior detective series (probably showcasing middle-school student actors/actresses), and I really really could understand what they were saying! --I feel like dancing on cloud9 ^_^
Well- with all that said... today looks like a good day. Plenty of sunshine and clouds~ ^_^
